In the largely decentralized responsibility model of the Technical University of Munich, the Hochschulreferat 6 - Health, Safety, Radiation Protection (HR6) bundles competencies from various specialist areas in the safety context at a central location. This enables expert consulting and training as well as the qualified description of model processes to support managers. Tasks are carried out on the basis of laws and ordinances, partly specified by TUM-specific organizational directives.
In the university management's central information system for all occupational health and safety issues - AGUM - HR6 contributes to the legal certainty of the content by continuously checking and maintaining it. Furthermore, HR6 organizes the system of representatives on behalf of the Presidential Board of Management, monitors the implementation of legal requirements through regular inspections of all facilities and maintains contact with the supervisory authorities.
