Fire Safety Instruction with Fire Extinguishing Training at the Garching Campus
The fire safety instruction with fire extinguisher training will take place hybrid at the Garching campus from the summer semester 2024 on.
The theoretical preparation for the extinguishing training with information on fire prevention, the selection of fire extinguishers and general behavior in the event of danger will take place online in an interactive Moodle course. Participants have the opportunity to acquire the necessary knowledge at their own pace and in the depth they require. The online course concludes with a short test, which is a prerequisite for participation in the on-site fire extinguishing training. There, participants not only have the opportunity to use a fire extinguisher on an extinguisher trainer, but also to discuss questions about the course content with our experienced firefighters.
Separate certificates of participation are available in Moodle for both parts - the Moodle course can therefore also be used for online fire safety instruction without taking part in extinguisher training. There will no longer be instructions in the classic “seminar format” as part of the extinguishing training in Garching.
